Dear Valued Customers of Vital Air Conditioning Services

We would liketo provide you with the following update on our response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Firstly, our thoughts are with you and with your loved ones during this unprecedented time. We hope you stay well and safe during this dreadful pandemic.

We would like to assure you at the outset that as far as management is aware, no Vital air conditioning staff member or technician has come into direct contact with anyone that has had a positive diagnosis and that at this stage, based on our safety and health measures, it remains unlikely that any of our staff will come into direct contact with someone who has been positively diagnosed with the virus.

We want to assure you that the health and safety of our staff and customers is our priority. We are following the advice from Health NSW and the Cluster.We want to take this opportunity to give you an outline of where we are with this,while doing whatever we can to continue to deliver services.

As a HVAC electrical company, Vital air conditioning services Pty Ltd, is considered as an essential service. As many of you are working from home in addition to caring for your family.It is clear that there will be many more people including the most vulnerable, elderly and immune compromised customers needing our services before things improve.

It is important to keep in mind the needs of customers and the services that we are here to provide them.

Having said that,Management has been considering how best to respond to the rapidly changing situation we are in.

One of the first changes we will be implementing is the introduction of a temporary ‘screening process’ for all our customers. This decision was not taken lightly and is consistent with the advice from Health NSW.

Effective Monday 30 March, we will introduce a temporary measure where all customers requiring our services at the booking stage will be screened with three questions before they receive the service. Question 1 will ask whether they are currently in self isolation. Question 2 will ask if they have recently travelled to any at risk countries within the last 14 days. Question 3 will ask whether they have been in contact with anyone who has a confirmed case of coronavirus within the past 14 days.

If they answer positive to any of the above questions, the service they require will have to be booked at least after 14 days based on availability, if the customer chooses to wait.

Additionally, all technicians will be wearing protective masks and gloves and will ensure safe social distancing measures are followed. This is in addition to our normal practice of having all technicians taking shoes off before entering your property.

It is also important to reinforce the messages we have been giving staff and technicians about basic hand hygiene, practicing good coughing etiquette, and avoiding close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms. And staying home if they are sick. This is good practice at all times, especially as we come into the flu season. As in previous years, we will also be providing all Vital air conditioning staff members and technicians with the flu shot.

Thank you for your cooperation and help in helping get through this period. We appreciate there is a fair bit of worry and anxiety out there. But it is also important to try to keep things in perspective and making sure we continue to provide services as best we can.
